Did you know Palomar Solar is also a C-39 licensed roofing contractor.
After establishing one of the best reputations in the solar industry Palomar Solar added the roofing division to become a one stop shop and add an extra layer of peace of mind by preventing future finger pointing.
Rather than starting a roofing company from scratch, we’ve brought in George Cortes as the Director of roofing for Palomar Solar. George a roofing contractor has successfully owned his roofing company in San Diego for over 20 years and brings with him experienced crews and a reputation as strong as our own. We are excited and fortunate to have him on our team. We believe we are going to bring a level of professionalism to the roofing industry that has never been seen before.
With the recent rains, many homeowners have discovered roof leaks needing to be addressed before installing a solar system. Leaks can happen for a variety of reasons such as the paper underneath the concrete or clay tiles is old and needs replacement, or the composite shingle has reached it’s end of life. Before installing solar with a 25 year warranty it only makes sense to repair or install a new roof.
Historically, homeowners would have to call a roofing contractor for quotes and then spend more time calling a separate solar company. This creates double the work for the homeowner and often the roofer would void his warranties after the solar was installed. We want to prevent future finger pointing between roofing contractors and reduce frustration for homeowners. Our goal is to give you peace of mind that if something happens in the future you only need to make one phone call. Additionally, being able to do the roofing in house also allows us to control the scheduling of jobs, ensuring a better overall installation experience.
Another motivating factor for our expansion into roofing is we have received numerous inquiries regarding roof leaks from poor solar installations performed by other solar contractors no longer in business. The problem is the standard roofer could not help them without first finding someone to remove the solar system. So now homeowners are stuck trying to hire two contractors and often the roofing contractor would void his warranty as soon as the solar system was reinstalled. Now homeowners can simply call Palomar Solar and Roofing and we can remove the system, repair the roof, and reinstall the system providing one warranty and again no future finger pointing between contractors.
