Project Description:
After years of looking into solar and realizing he knew more than anyone he contacted, Andy decided to start Palomar Solar. Not wanting to use an actual customer to learn the ins and outs of solar installation and the process, he used his own home as the first Palomar Solar project. Initially, the system was installed with a Fronius central inverter. This was prior to Enphase as they were just coming to market. After installing many Enphase systems and realizing all the subsequent advantages of microinverters versus central inverters he decided to install 50 Enphase microinverters.

Looking back at where we started to where we are today. I’m most proud of the fact that we did not take any short cuts at our customer’s expense. From day one our goal was to not be “that contractor. The fact that we have installed over 25,000 solar panels and 99% of our customers are extremely happy with us makes me extremely proud of the culture we have created. We understand our employees and customers are the keys to our continued success!
