Residential Solar Installation in Del Mar, CA

We’re always excited when we get to install solar panels in Del Mar, CA! In talking with their solar consultant, the owners of this beautiful home decided to have us repair the roof where the system was going to be installed. Great decision on their part, as removing and reinstalling panels later on down the road would add to the cost of any future roof repairs. One of our highly experienced roofing crews started the project by carefully removing the existing tile roof. Then, they installed composite shingle on the roof where the solar panels would soon be, and stored away the removed tiles to be used later.

Next, our solar crew arrived and (in one day) professionally installed 22 LG solar panels in Del Mar, CA. The panels installed use Enphase micro inverters with technology that includes online per panel monitoring. This feature is such a benefit for the homeowner so that they can see exactly how each panel is performing at any given time of day!

After the solar installation, the same crew that re-roofed under the solar returned to re-install the previously removed tiles around the solar array. This “frame” of tiles adds a clean, sleek look to the system. We always want the original roofing crew returning to frame. Mainly, because this crew already knows the details of the project and in return, the homeowner already knows the crew. We know its comforting for our customers to see familiar faces working on their home!

Just three days after installation was complete, the happy homeowners were granted permission from SDG&E to turn on their system. We’re happy to have them a part of the Palomar Solar and Roofing family and another successful install of LG solar panels in Del Mar, CA!

Project Description:
We share similar values (customer service, accountability, communication) with our client, Waxie. They hardly knew when our team was on site. It was not all roses and there were some issues along the way with equipment. But in the end we completed a month ahead of schedule and not one change order was written. The payback on this system was less than three years.

They were so happy they awarded us another contract of 900 solar panels to be installed on a distribution center in Ontario, CA. We can’t thank Waxie enough for the opportunity and continued invaluable business relationship!

Project Description:
Waxie Sanitary Supply is an iconic 70-year-old company who could have chosen any solar contractor. After extensive research we are humbled and extremely thankful they gave us the opportunity to install on their company headquarters as well as a distribution center in Ontario, CA.

Our focus from the start of our company has always been the customer, similar shared values to Waxie. This was our second installation for Waxie. A year prior we had installed 1,260 solar panels on their headquarters in San Diego, CA. In order to mitigate their day-to-day operations we had scaffolding erected for access the roof and a porta-potty onsite for our crew. They hardly knew when our team was on site. The biggest challenge with this project was getting our plans approved and working with the city of Ontario. Of course, our team stepped up to the challenge and the system was completed three weeks ahead of schedule.

The payback on this system was also less than three years.
